Hyundai MSA to join TCR South America in 2026

15 December 2025

A new manufacturer joins TCR South America, as Hyundai MSA will field four Elantra N cars in 2026. The programme was announced during the championship’s season finale at Interlagos.

The new team takes over PMO Racing that has already clinched two titles in TCR South America, with Fabrício Pezzini in 2022 and Pedro Cardoso in 2024.

Team principal Damián Fineschi stated: “During my career I had the privilege to represent several makes, and this is not just one more, because Hyundai has a worldwide reputation in motorsport. This is a brand that always asks for the best from the teams, which is a pressure that helps you to aim for the top.”

Diego Ciantini who comes from Balcarce like the legendary Juan Manuel Fangio is the first driver announced by the team.

“It is a great honour to represent Hyundai in TCR South America. It will be a huge challenge, because the level of competition is very high. I hope the team and I will be able to deliver great results in our maiden season,”said the Argentine driver.
