Tim Lewis and Roy Block have made a move up in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking this week, with the duo’s victory in the second round of the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series at Sebring scoring them good points in this week’s ranking.
Lewis remains the third best-placed driver from the series in the ranking, climbing up seven spots to 65th overall, while his co-driver Roy Block is now 83rd.
In a race of high attrition, it was key for last year’s champions Taylor Hagler and Michael Lewis to take the chequered flag in fifth, though as this is below the Bryan Herta Autosport duo’s typical performance, they drop four places to 34th, but remain the best-placed of all the series’ drivers in the ranking.
Robert Wickens also made strong progress this week, despite losing out on victory in the dying moments of the race. His second-place finish along with co-driver Harry Gottsacker sees them shoot up the order, with Wickens climbing 16 places to 173rd, while Gottsacker moves up to 82nd.
William Tally and Mike LaMarra’s great result for LA Honda World Racing with fourth, following on from their second place at Daytona, sees them also make incredible progress, with LaMarra up 15 spots, while Tally was the series’ highest climber this week, moving up 60 places to 404th.
