The CUPRA brand will make its first appearance in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series’ TCR class when the Leon VZ run by Gou Racing will hit the track on January 17/19 for the official test days at Daytona International Speedway.
The Spanish car will be driven by Eddie Gou and his son Eduardo who raced an Audi RS 3 LMS in the previous seasons.
“This step represents an exciting new era for our team,” said Eduardo “The CUPRA Leon VZ is a fantastic car, and we are confident in our ability to push it to its limits. Gou Racing’s participation in IMSA has been fuelled by our partnership with Audi, and we are thrilled to carry that spirit into this new venture with the CUPRA. Our team has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming season, refining strategies, and building a dynamic driver lineup to ensure we perform at the highest level in every race.”
