Giacomo Ghermandi back with MM Motorsport in TCR Europe

Giacomo Ghermandi will be back racing in TCR Europe this year, competing in a second Honda Civic Type R FL5 run by MM Motorsport, the same team with which he races in the TCR Eastern Europe series.

The Italian driver, who took his first win in TCR Eastern Europe last week at the Red Bull Ring, made his TCR Europe debut four years ago at Barcelona, and raced full-time in the series in 2022.

Ghermandi has since focussed his attention on the Eastern European series, though he made a one-off appearance in TCR Europe at Brno last year.

“The success achieved at the Red Bull Ring in TCR Eastern Europe has given us a great boost of enthusiasm and confidence,” said Ghermandi. “We are very excited at the idea of returning to compete in the top category at European level, even though we are aware that a very demanding challenge awaits us. The level of the opponents will be very high as usual, but at the same time we want to measure ourselves and to understand on a personal level where I am on my growth path.”
