Vannin Motorsport’s George Jaxon will be driving a brand-new CUPRA Leon VZ when TCR UK resumes at Snetterton in just over two weeks.
The CUPRA will be the third car that Jaxon drives during the season, having started in a Gen 1 Volkswagen Golf GTI and then upgrading to a Gen 2 Audi RS 3 LMS from the April event at Donington Park.
The move to the latest CUPRA model is part of Jaxon’s long-term plan as he works towards a full-time entry for the 2026 season; the car he will be using is brand new and him and the team have planned to test it before Snetterton.
“I’ve enjoyed my first season back in TCR UK, and I’m thrilled to have made steps forward with each race weekend. Whilst I have enjoyed driving the Audi Gen 2 car, it's clear to me that the Leon VZ is more suited to UK circuits and that is the way forward for me,” Jaxon explained. “I made my commitment to racing in TCR UK earlier this year, and purchasing the CUPRA is the next step in my long-term plans.”
