Franco Girolami with Aikoa Racing in TCR Italy

Team Aikoa Racing will make its debut in the TCR Italy championship running five Audi RS 3 LMS cars, one of them for the reigning TCR Europe champion Franco Girolami.

The Argentine will be joined by Francesca Raffaele who will be at the wheel of the team’s second Generation 2 Audi.

Raffaele is not new to the championship having raced last year in a Target Competition-run Hyundai i30 N.

Aikoa Racing will also field three first-generation Audi RS 3 LMS DSG for veteran Paolo Palanti, the winner of the TCR DSG trophy in the 2022 Coppa Italia Turismo, and a couple of youngsters coming from karting: the 21-year-old Stefano De Vecchi and Filippo Barberi who is 17.
