Floral Racing Honda team wins under deluge at Sugo

The second round of the Japanese Super Taikyu took place at Sugo Sportsland under a pouring rain that fell during the whole 3-hour race. 
The weather conditions had already forced the cancellation of Saturday’s Qualifying session, as a typhoon was raging on the racetrack.
The Audi RS 3 LMS entered by Waimarama Kizuna Racing Team led the TCR class from the start and led for a while with Katsumasa Chiyo, 'Kizuna', Riki Okusa and Hironobu Yasuda taking turns at its wheel.
However, it was the Floral Racing with Uematsu Honda Civic Type R driven by Tadao Uematsu, Yuji Ide and Shintaro Kawabata that took control of the race and claimed the team’s first victory of the season with a margin of 3.5 seconds over the Audi.
The podium was completed by the second Audi run by Team Mars for Toshiro Tsukada, Masanobu Kato, Masato Shimoyama and Taketoshi Matsui that finished one lap behind the winners.
The next round of will be a 3-hour race at Okayama on October 31/November 1.
