Adam Kout has become the second TCR Eastern Europe series regular to break into the top ten of the Kumho TCR World Ranking following his podium finish at the 2024 edition of the FIA Motorsport Games.
The Czech driver joins his Slovakian Hyundai Janík Motorsport teammate Mat’o Homola in the top ten ranked drivers in the world, following a strong performance at the Valencia circuit, where he finished behind Ignacio Montenegro and Raphael Reis.
Montenegro remains in the top 20 ranked drivers, placed in 18th position, while Reis’ silver medal helped elevate the Brazilian racer to 23rd in the ranking following a sensational comeback drive in the Qualifying Race, after an early pit stop to replace a punctured tyre.
TCR Italy championship runner-up Ruben Volt made up four spots in the ranking after finishing tied at the top of the standings at a tense season finale at the Monza circuit and is now placed 16th in the order.
It was a sensational result for the new TCR Italy champion Nicolas Taylor, with the Canadian star launching up 25 places to 42nd in the ranking in his first year of competition.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, after a podium on Saturday and then victory on Sunday on his return at Monza, over a year since he raced in the Kumho TCR World Tour at Bathurst, saw Teddy Clairet the highest riser in the ranking this week, up 326 positions in one weekend.
