Eric Gené was the highest climber in the KUMHO TCR World Ranking after a sensational weekend in the final race of the TCR Spain pre-season series at Valencia, after scoring his first race victory and a podium.
The Spanish racer launched himself all the way to 279th of the 1,000+ ranked drivers, a climb of 173 positions this weekend.
The two new female TCR racers Sandra Gómez and Ana Carrasco were also high climbers, both taking part in only their second racing weekend in TCR competition in a pair of Peugeot 308 cars, with Gómez moving up 141 places in the ranking to 478th and Carassco 83 to 452nd.
Felipe Fernández also moved up to his best position yet in the ranking, 68th overall after claiming a podium in the final race in his Audi RS 3, while his brother Rubén is also placed in the top 100 in 96th position.
The two ALM Motorsport Honda drivers also had a great weekend in the ranking, with Álvaro García also breaking into the top 100 after his podium in Race 1, while Ignacio Montenegro, the newly-crowned pre-season series champion, is the best-placed driver from the series in 26th.
