Elantra upgrade for Newsham ahead of TCR UK last events

TCR UK title contender Callum Newsham will drive a Hyundai Elantra N in the final two race weekends of the season after having driven the i30 N in the first five events.

The JH Racing driver is currently 40 points behind CUPRA and Capture Motorsport driver Adam Shepherd in the standings, with three wins and a further seven podium finishes to his credit, however considering the drop of the two worst scores, Newsham leads by six points.

This move puts Newsham on the front foot in the title fight at both Snetterton next week and the finale at Brands Hatch in November.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be racing our new Elantra for the remainder of the season. With the potential of the Elantra and the incredible team behind me, I truly believe we can fight for race wins straight away and give me the best possible opportunity of fighting for the TCR UK title,” explained Newsham.
