Ehrlacher inherits Race 3 pole as uncle Muller gets penalty

19 May 2019

Yvan Muller was stripped of his pole position in WTCR Race 3 at Zandvoort; the Cyan Racing’s driver had his Q3 laps disallowed after an overboost during his pole position lap that was nearly half a second clear of his nearest rival.
He will therefore start from fifth on the grid of Race 3, while his nephew and Lynk&Co fellow driver Yann Ehrlacher inherited the pole position.
Thed Björk, Norbert Michelisz and Augusto Farfus all advanced one position and will start second, third and fourth respectively.
