Dylan O’Keeffe samples series leading Audi at Sandown

Dylan O’Keeffe has sampled Chaz Mostert’s leading Audi RS 3 LMS at Sandown Park.
As part of the ride day at Sandown that included Supercars, TCR cars and GT World Challenge cars, O’Keeffe stepped into the #25 Audi while Mostert was busy fulfilling his Supercars duties.
It is the third different type of TCR model he has driven, after racing an Ashley Seward Motorsport Alfa Romeo Giulietta in 2019 and the GRM Renaults in 2020 and 2021.

"It was pretty cool to sample the Audi,” said O’Keeffe after completing close to 30 rides for excited passengers. “Obviously, Mostert has been dominating so far, and good to feel what it’s all about. We saw Liam Tander drive the car in 2019, so now I know what they are dealing with. The ergonomics of the cars are pretty nice. Everything is designed is specifically for the car, it’s very comfortable and It’s just very well built car – it's as simple as that. It does everything you want it to.”

Now with experience in three different types of TCR cars, O’Keeffe says that they are unique in their own ways.
“They’re all extremely different,” he said. “The Renault is well balanced but tends to understeer, because the rear is so gripped up. The Audi comes in between the Alfa, where the Alfa is super nervous on the opening laps and super sharp. This sort of falls in between that – it’s well balance but not understeering but not oversteery on exit.”
