06 January 2021

Former TCR International and WTCR racer Denis Dupont has joined Van Der Steur Racing to compete in the 2021 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
The team will run a Hyundai Veloster N in the TCR class for Dupont and Rory Van Der Steur who made his car racing debut last year in the IMSA Challenge’s final round at Sebring.
Dupont, 27-year-old from Belgium had started in TCR competition back in 2015 emerging as a race winner in the TCR Benelux championship before switching to TCR International and then WTCR.

“I’m very excited to drive a Hyundai for Van Der Steur Racing. I can’t wait to discover the car and the team during the official test days at Daytona,” he said.

And Rory Van Der Steur echoed: “Our main goal is to win, but the level of the competition will not make it easy. I’m sure that the addition of Denis to the team, with his experience in TCR racing, will prove a great asset.”
