DTR to run JAS-supported Honda Team in 2026 TCR UK

DTR has been named as the team that will run the JAS Motorsport-supported Honda entry in the 2026 TCR UK season.

Led by Darryl Taplin, DTR will run at least two cars with plans in place for a third car to be added to the lineup. Two drivers are already signed for next year and they will be announced in the coming weeks, with the seat in the third Civic available.

Taplin was involved in the previous championship entry of the FL5, and it is clear that he has unfinished business: “I’m excited to announce that we have teamed up with JAS Motorsport and will be on the TCR UK grid with at least two Honda Civic FL5 cars next year. The first car will arrive in the UK in the next couple of weeks, ahead of a full testing schedule planned to begin in January. We were clear in the beginning that this should be a long-term project, where we support young drivers who are looking to make their mark in the competitive world of touring car racing. We have unfinished business in TCR UK, and knowing what the car is capable of, I look forward to seeing Honda as a front-running brand once more.”
