A number of drivers who had stunning performances in the rounds of the TCR Denmark, TCR Spain, and TCR China championships last weekend have all made great progress in the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week.
Malte Ebdrup was the highest climber across the entire weekend, with the 17-year-old taking victory in only his sixth ever TCR competition in Race 3 at Jyllandsringen in the TCR Denmark series. The Mascot Motorsport driver catapulted up 258 positions and is already 322nd in the ranking with only six recorded results to his name.
It was also a good weekend for Jenson Brickley, with the former TCR UK title contender now making a strong first showing in the TCR Spain series with a pair of second place finishes in his new CUPRA. Brickley was the highest scoring driver of the weekend and climbed 12 spots and is now up to 39th, while Race 1 winner Enric Bordás has now moved into the top 100 in 98th place.
There was also the opening round of the TCR China championship at Zhuzhou, with great progress in the ranking for the two race winners Martin Cao Hong Wei and Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang; Race 1 winner Cao climbed 12 places to 40th overall, while Zhang climbed 21 spots to 52nd.
