The second IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge race victory for former TCR International Series and Benelux racer Denis Dupont saw the Montreal-based Belgian break into the top 100 of the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week.
Dupont moved up 17 places to 97th in the classification, while his BHA Hyundai co-driver Preston Brown also made great progress, leaping up to 111th.
Dupont and Brown’s team-mate Mark Wilkins, who finished in second place in the race with his new co-driver Bryson Morris, made the most progress within the top 100, moving up 15 places to 62nd in the ranking, and is now just six spots behind the best-placed driver from the series, Mason Filippi.
After a year away from TCR competition, Ryan Eversley and his new Brazilian co-driver Celso Neto were the highest climbers of the week, both moving up 162 places in a week after their podium at Daytona in the Precision Racing LA Audi RS 3 LMS.
Meanwhile, Madison ‘Maddie’ Aust’s fourth place on her TCR debut along with her Brazilian co-driver Suellio Almeida established her as a potential leading female racer in the ranking, both debuting at 405th of the 1,500+ ranked drivers.
