Cimenes to make TCR debut at Vallelunga with MM Motorsport

The 18-year-old Jacopo Cimenes will step up to the TCR Italy championship at the wheel of a Honda Civic Type R FL5 for MM Motorsport.

Cimenes made his car racing debut in the 2022 Clio Cup in which he was classified fourth last year. His first appearance with the MM Motorsport-run Honda will be in the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour event at Vallelunga and then he will compete in TCR Italy’s full season.

“After two seasons in the Clio Cup, the natural step forward was TCR, and I couldn’t dream anything more than making my debut in the TCR World Tour! I’m over the moon, but I must have my feet on the ground. We need to work a lot to fill the gap we have compared to the international stars; it won’t be easy, but we can make an impression,” Cimenes said.
