Chaz Mostert defends TCR Australia leadership in Sydney

29 April 2021

The fourth event of the 2021 TCR Australia championship at Sydney Motorsport Park, will feature again a record-field of 22 cars, thanks to the return of Lachlan Mineef in the second Volkswagen Golf GTI entered by Melbourne Performance Centre and the addition of privateer Michael King in a AH Motorsport-run Hyundai i30 N.
Chaz Mostert arrives in Sydney with a solid lead in the standings. At the wheel of his Audi RS 3 LMS the Melbourne Performance Centre's driver has won five out of the nine races held so far, making an impressive hat-trick in the previous event at Bathurst and building a comfortable gap of 63 points ahead of Aaron Cameron who drives a Peugeot 308 for Team Valvoline GRM.
Third in the standings, a further 15 points adrift lies Mostert's teammate Luke King who is followed by John Martin (Wall Racing Honda Civic Type R) and fellow Alfa Romeo drivers Lee Holdsworth (Ashley Seward Motorsport) and Jordan Cox (Garry Rogers Motorsport) who are 88, 99 and 104 respectively behind the leader.

All the three races will be streamed live at www.tcr-series.com; Saturday, Race 1 at 13:25 local time (05:25 CEST), Sunday, Race 2 at 10:10 local time (02:10 CEST) and Race 3 at 13:25 local time (05:25 CEST).
