PMO Racing Peugeot driver Pedro Cardoso climbed up eight positions to 16th in the Kumho TCR World Ranking this week following a pair of podium finishes at the latest event of TCR South America at Mercedes. Juan Ángel Rosso endured a difficult weekend and lost two positions, dropping to eighth overall, but is still the best-placed of the series’ contenders in the ranking.
After the latest round of the TCR Asia series at Buriram in Thailand, Z.Speed Hyundai driver Max Hart moved up five spots following a pair of podium finishes to 43rd, but it was his teammate and title rival Zhang Zhen Dong who enjoyed an even bigger 18-place climb after his victory in Race 2, and is now just outside the top 50 in 51st position.
After finishing on the podium at Virginia International Raceway, Bryan Herta Autosport driver Robert Wickens moved up to all-time best of 64th in the ranking, also a record ranking position for a driver from the IMSA SportsCar Challenge.
Norbert Michelisz remains the top ranked driver, while former No.1 Rob Huff is continuing to slide down the order, now in sixth, as he drops results after ten months out of TCR competition.
