The TCR México races in the joint event with the Kumho FIA TCR World Tour saw Carlo Zesati and José Carlos Sandoval taking the race wins.
Zesati won Race 1 and Race 3 in the Audi RS 3 LMS run by his family team, while Sandoval’s RE Motorsport, CUPRA Leon VZ was victorious in Race 2.
In the standings, RE Motorsport co-drivers Pablo Pérez de Lara and Gerardo Nieto have stretched their lead over Juan Pablo Sierra.
Race 1 - Carlo Zanella led from the start, resisting the pressure from Juan Pablo Sierra in the Centur Silen Racing CUPRA; eventually Sierra spun and dropped at the back, but recovered to finish second ahead of Franco Zanella.
Race 2 - Sandoval emerged as the winner after surviving a collision with Carlo Zesati in lap 6 when they were fighting for the lead. In the second part of the race, Sandoval built a comfortable lead, while the battle for the other podium positions involved the Audi cars of Carlo Zesati and Gerardo Nieto with the CUPRA cars of Pablo Cervantes and Franco Zanella. Eventually, Zesati beat Cervantes by four tenths to finish second.
Race 3 - Carlo Zesati was leading the Mexican pack in 11th position overall and was closely followed for most of the race by Cervantes who was eventually forced to retire in lap 14 by a technical issue. Pérez de Lara took the second place and Santos Zanella beat Santiago Creel for third.
