Bárcenas Racing to race a CUPRA Leon VZ in TCR Panama

Bárcenas Racing is the first team to announce its commitment to the new TCR Panama championship.

The team ran an Audi RS 3 LMS TCR last year in a national series, securing race wins and podium, and it has switched to a CUPRA Leon VZ for TCR Panama’s inaugural season.

“We are thrilled to bring the CUPRA Leon VZ into TCR Panama,” said Mario Bárcenas, team principal and driver. “This car reflects our commitment to staying at the forefront of motorsports innovation and continuing to grow the TCR category in Panama and the region. We aim to compete at the highest level from the very first event.”

The team faces a tight preparation schedule, with the CUPRA expected to arrive in Panama just two weeks before the season opener on February 22/23. The team will work tirelessly on the setup of the car that will be driven by Mario and Rafael Bárcenas.
