Baldan leads Aikoa Racing three-car line-up in TCR Italy

Aikoa Racing will run three Audi RS 3 LMS cars in the TCR Italy championship, with last year title contender Nicola Baldan who will be joined by Filippo Barberi and series rookie Francesco Cardone.

With two race wins, Baldan was in contention for the 2024 title until the season finale and eventually was classified third in the Drivers’ Championship. "We have worked hard in the off season benefiting from the advises from Audi Sport. I will drive a brand-new car and the test we have made have been reassuring,” said Baldan.

The 19-year-old Barberi took part last year in his maiden TCR season and was able to take a win in the TCR Spain event at Estoril. "My goal for the new season is to improve last year’s results and I hope to score my first victory in TCR Italy,” he said.

In 2024 Cardone clinched the title in the DSG Class of the Coppa Italia Turismo. “I have the same age of Nicola, but while he’s a veteran I’m an amateur driver. I join the championship full season for the first time, aiming to be consistently among the top ten.”
