Baldan and Barberi with Aikoa Racing in TCR Europe

Nicola Baldan will be back to compete in the 2025 TCR Europe, with new team Aikoa Racing competing full-time in the series for the first time. Baldan will be joined by young teammate Filippo Barberi.

The former Italian touring car champion scored a much-anticipated first career victory in the European series last year at Spa-Francorchamps and was a front-runner for the title through much of the season, racing in his Audi RS 3 LMS.

The 42-year-old will be back behind the wheel of an Audi again, this time run by high performance Italian squad Aikoa Racing, a team with touring car titles already under its belt.

Joining him will be 19-year-old Barberi, who will be eligible for the Under 21 title this year; he has already has two years of experience competing in TCR with Aikoa Racing in TCR Italy, TCR Spain and the Coppa Italia Turismo.
