Bailey Sweeny will join HMO Customer Racing for the 2022 TCR Australia Series.
The 18-year-old Sweeny, will drive one of the team’s Hyundai i30 N cars alongside regular drivers Nathan Morcom and Josh Buchan, bolstering the former champion team's fleet to three cars for the first time.
A member of the Erebus Academy for junior drivers, Sweeny steps up from the Toyota Gazoo 86 Series; he tested the TCR car for the first time at Wakefield Park recently, with Morcom and team principal Rob Benson on hand to oversee his track debut.

Sweeny said: “I am thrilled to be joining the grid of TCR Australia in 2022 and to be working with HMO Customer Racing. It’s a dream come true. It shows all the hard work we have put in, in the past few years, is starting to pay off.”

Morcom added: "Bailey is a young kid and was really quite quick in his test. He is going to be a great addition to our team. He ticked all the boxes that we wanted from him and I'm looking forward to seeing how he progresses through the year. It's also great to have three cars full-time for this year. We know our cars have the potential to win, so having three means we can put all focus ahead for the season."
