Andreas and Jessica Backmän to appear in TCR Germany

Andreas and Jessica Bäckman will kick off their 2020 season in the ADAC TCR Germany championship, with a guest appearance next weekend at the Nürburgring. As usual the Swedish siblings will drive Hyundai i30 N cars for the Italian team Target Competition.
Last year, when Andreas and Jessica Bäckman competed in the German series, they showed great speed; Andreas ended up second in qualifying, while Jessica ended up on a well-deserved second place in Race 2 at Hockenheim. 

“It will be exciting to be back in TCR Germany. It’s a higly competitive series with a high standard of drivers, so it will not be easy, but it feels good to get back out on the racetracks and to compete again. It will also be a good preparation for next weekend when we are back in TCR Europe after the long break,” said Andreas.

And Jessica echoed: “I'm looking forward to race again after the long break and it is extra fun to be back to TCR Germany. It will be a perfect preparation for next weekend when our main series TCR Europe kicks off in France.”
