Macau’s André Couto will make his return to the TCR China championship this weekend at Zhejiang International Circuit.

Couto who last raced in the series in 2023, driving a Honda Civic FL5 for MacPro Racing, returns with the same team and the same model as he replaced his fellow Macanese Henry Ho Wai Kun.

TCR China and TCR China Challenge resume at Zhejiang for rounds 5 and 6, and for the first time this year the two series will race together.

The championship is led by Zhang Zhen Dong (Z.Speed, Hyundai Elantra) who has won three from the four races held so far. He is followed, 11 points behind, by David Zhu Dai Wei (Teamwork Motorsport, Lynk & Co 03), the only other race winner. Zhu's teammate, former champion Jason Zhang Zhi Qiang lies third, 27 points off the lead.

In the Challenge, Audi drivers Sean Chang Chien Shang (RevX Racing) and Liu Zhi Chen (326 Racing Team) have won two races apiece, with Chang leading Liu by only four points.
