Viktor Andersson will be back for a third season TCR Europe, again driving a Lynk & Co 03 run by family squad MA:GP, overseen by his father, the experienced Swedish touring car racer Mattias Andersson.
One of the smallest teams on the grid, the Linköping-based squad punched above its weight many times last season, finishing on the podium three times, and was in the hunt for fourth in the drivers’ title right up until the last weekend in Spain.
“I’m really looking forward to it, as we’ve learned a lot from the two seasons in the past,” said Viktor. “The calendar is much more like our first year in 2023, when we were racing on the bigger circuits. The goal is to be in the top three of the championship standings at the end of the year and to fight for the young drivers’ trophy.”
Team principal Mattias Andersson echoed: “Last year we started a little bit slow but were much stronger at the end of the season, so hopefully we’ll be able to continue the momentum. We focus on TCR Europe, but it would be race in one of the World Tour events in Europe and then at the FIA TCR World Ranking Final.”
