A dozen cars have entered in TCR Panama’s inaugural event

The inaugural event of the TCR Panama championship kicks of this weekend at Autódromo Panamá with a pair of 20-minute races and a field of twelve cars - Hyundai, Audi, Honda and CUPRA - run by nine teams.

"We are thrilled to see the incredible level of competition and talent already in action here in Panama," said George Hazbun, Director of TCR Panama Series. "The pre-season testing was an essential part of our preparation, and we are excited to see what the teams and drivers have in store for this season."

Among the teams that will compete in the season opening event are AP Racing with Honda Civic and Hyundai Elantra cars, Chocron Racing with Audi and Bárcenas Racing with CUPRA Leon VZ.

The format of the event includes one qualifying session of 20 minutes and two races of 20-minute plus one lap, both with rolling start and the positions of the first ten drivers in qualifying reversed on the grid for Race 2.
