A 24-hour rematch for Honda and Hyundai

The ADAC 24-hour race takes place this weekend at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, four months after the original schedule due to the Covid pandemic.
Honda and Hyundai are facing each other once again in a rematch of last year's race, in which the Civic Type R of Team Castol Honda beat the pair of cars entered by Hyundai Motorsport. The final gap between the Civic and the runner-up Veloster N was of only two laps over 138.
The winning trio of Tiago Monteiro, Markus Oestreich and Dominik Fugel returns at the wheel of the Honda, while Hyundai runs a Veloster N for Manuel Lauck, Peter Terting, Moritz Oestreich and Marc Basseng, plus a i30 N for Lauck, Luca Engstler, Harald Proczyk and Antti Buri.
The TCR class is completed by the Bonk Motorsport Audi RS 3 LMS shared by Hermann Bock, Max Partl and Alex Prinz.
