FIA WTCR to visit Vallelunga and Anneau du Rihn

Event in Vallelunga and Anneau du Rihn have been added to the calendar of the 2022 WTCR to replace those in Most and Sochi that had been cancelled due to the state of war between Russia and Ukraine.

The WTCR will visit Vallelunga’s Autodromo Piero Taruffi for the first time on July 23/24, sharing the bill with the FIA ETCR – eTouring Car World Cup.

Two weeks later the series will move to Anneau du Rhin that is locate in the Alsace region, in eastern France on August 6/7.

The remainder of the schedule, approved by the FIA World Motor Sport Council is unchanged although Discovery Sports Events continues to monitor travel and quarantine restrictions relating to the events in South Korea, China and Macau in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rounds 3/4: Nürburgring Nordschleife, May 26/28
Rounds 5/6: Hungaroring, June 11/12
Rounds 7/8: MotorLand Aragón, June 25/26
Rounds 9/10: Circuito de Vila Real, July 2/3
Rounds 11/12: Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi, July 23/24
Rounds 13/14: Anneau du Rhin, August 6/7
Rounds 15/16: Inje Speedium, October 8/9
Rounds 17/18: Ningbo International Speedpark, November 5/6
Rounds 19/20: Macau Circuito da Guia, November 18/20
