Ana Beatriz ‘Bia’ Figueiredo is the first lady driver to commit to the TCR South America championship.

The most representative member of Brazil’s female car racing, the 37-year-old has joined Cobra Racing to drive one of the Audi RS 3 LMS cars run by the team managed by Flavio ‘Noño’ Figueiredo.

Having grown previous experience in Stock Car, Indy Light and IMSA series, in 2008 ‘Bia’ became the first woman to win an Indy Light race on her way to finish third in the championship.

“I’m so glad to join Cobra Racing. This will be my first full season after two years in which I only made occasional races. TCR South America is a great opportunity, and I will focus on adapting my driving style to the front-wheel drive with the aim of being able to claim good results in a short time,” said ‘Bia’ Figueiredo.
